About the recordings listed above, versus what we have in the Top Shelf Big Band book: the charts in our book match, fairly closely, the recordings listed above. There are the same number of bars of introduction before the vocalist enters, they are in the same key (unless noted above), they have the same roadmap, etc. In some cases, the orchestration of our chart is different. For example, the recording may use a stage orchestra (i.e., with strings), while our chart is reorchestrated for big band instruments.

Anyway, if you can sing along to the recording, you’ll be able to sing with our live band!
